When I think of Pedagogy, I believe that hands on learning and inclusive education is important. When it comes to teaching practices, hands on learning and student led learning is very beneficial in my eyes. It allows the students to be active and responsible for their learning. Inclusive education is also important to think about when it comes to learning in the classroom. Making sure all students are included no matter what the scenario is, is crucial.

When I think of assessment, it is important to remember what the purpose of assessing is for. Knowing that mistakes are a good thing and they help the students learn and improve are important. Assessment shouldn’t just be a test at the end of a unit that is then just written in the grade book. To really assess students and help them improve we need to be taking their assignments and then figuring out ways to help improve their learning.

It is always important to remember that school should feel and be a save space for students. This is the one place where we, as teacher, can control what goes on and makes sure the students are save. We want to make them feel comfortable with expressing how they feel and know that we are someone they can trust and talk to.

When I think of teaching, I think it is very important to have healthy relationships with the students and encourage interactions between other students and with teachers. Relationships are everything when it comes to teaching. Having a connection with the students will hopefully result in better classroom management and if an issue does occur, it will be easy to talk to them.
